Savage & Mystification - Salamanca (BHR017)

Two of the dominant forces of the Black Hoe cult, Mystification and Savage, merge to create something so vicious and horrifying, so powerful, it has evolved into an entity of assassination.

Looking upon you with with a virulent soul, pain hungry eyes and a pure lust for the taste of bloodshed.

You have one chance to breakaway, one chance to fight or flight.

Run…

The vulgar combination of throat wrenching beats and gut ripping bass, chase you down like a diseased executioner. The eerie razor edged synths displaying its pleasure in watching you in terror, teasing you with your own faith in escape, feeding upon your fear.

This is its game and you are the fallen…

Never will you feel more alive then when you are fighting to survive.

And this revived fervor for life, is what gives this body of torture its strength.

You belong to him!

  1. Savage & Mystification - Salamanca

Paul Blackout - Freakmode (BHR016)

The deity of darkstep, Paul Blackout, emerges from the depths of the shadows with his spoils of war. A collector of lost souls, he arises once more to add fuel to his army of darkness and lead his phantoms into a state of pure warfare. He will lull you into a nightmarish dreamscape that becomes impossible to emerge from. A chilling hybrid of hardcore techno & darkstep with an overwhelming acid inflection, these tracks are an anthem for the diablo; can you follow?

'Freakmode' immerses you into a rapture of absurdity; a waltz for the deadly insane. Hard hitting kicks tenderly laced with deranged synths, baptize you with a hunger for battle. A pitch black cry of covert hatred, ready to be released.

A noxious trance for the obliterated.

The onslaught of devil kicks continues and intensifies with 'Lower Than Three'. An old school vibe infused with a drone so forceful and merciless there is no breakout. Once the sounds imprison your neglected indignation, you will be frothing at the mouth to create your own pathway of destruction in order to appease the infernal forces that surround you.

Are you ready to gratify the Lord of nightfall?

Are you one of the taken or will you be left behind, fragile and broken?

Snyde & KRIEG - Spiritual Hell (BHR015)

Fresh from the pits of purgatory, the maniacal minds of Snyde & KRIEG meet and open the gates to your own 'Spiritual Hell'. This represents the torments of being human, the haunting of misery caused by another and the lust for vengeance. The drop offers a devastating blow that gives way to tearing amens and a pure demented amalgamation of sound; that offers no remorse to your sanity. A soundtrack to destroy your enemies. And to pray for deliverance from delirium.

The madness shared by two continues with 'Folie a deux'. Laden with feelings of repentance; the downpour of drums and relentless pulsation of bass, pierces your body and runs like venom through your veins. These are the wrongs you can’t atone. Payment will be in your suffering, in your screams.

Giving rise to the Tenth Satanic Sin.

Circular D feat. Acid Imagination - Anxiety (BHR014)

Black Hoe extend to you two fables of barbarity from the diseased soul of Circular Discharge. It’s by name by nature with his first offering, 'Skull Cracker'. A gritty roller with a stannic snare, that will diminish your cranium, leaving you defenseless against the cerebral merry death dance; spawned by its sinister clash of brutal breaks, pulsating bass and angelic melodies; all executed with a threat of violence. Not for the weak. For the second atonement, Circular D merges with Acid Imagination to provide us with a dose of pure'Anxiety'. Its howling bass and driving kicks chase you down; smothering you with despair, granting you no humanity. There is no choice but to submit to its galvanic pressure. Admit yourself powerless, there is no escape! - words by Snyde

Black Hoe Recordings Artists’ Q&A - Interview with Snyde & KRIEG

"Welcome to the first official Black Hoe Recordings Artists’ Q&A. We are here today with Snyde and KRIEG to get a general understanding of these two madly crazed producers and their 2-track EP Spiritual Hell on Black Hoe Recordings.”

How old are you and where are you from and what should we know about you?
SNYDE: ”I am 35 years old and come from South Wales, UK. You should know that I’m not all there.”
KRIEG: ”I am 24 years old and come from Russia, although I prefer to say that I come from the Valley of Death, and I honestly just love strange sounds.”

At what point in your life did the production of music really interest you and how did you start?
SNYDE: ”Well I got into Drum & Bass at 18 and started to then become fascinated. I was always musical and played guitar but this was something else. But firstly I wanted to learn to mix. Also I was too heavily into raving to give production the dedication it deserves. So I picked up a few things over the years messing around. Then four years ago, I chilled my party ways and took to production. FL and I have been pretty attached since!! The more you learn you more you want to learn.”
KRIEG: ”Around 2008 I started messing with production on the computer, but was going through a weird stage in my life so I never really showed anyone my sounds for I deemed them crappy, but around 2010 I started taking production more seriously and became more confident with my sounds and production, and now that it’s 2014 I feel as if this is the real beginning for me.”

How are you feeling this year in regards to your career as a producer?
SNYDE: ”Pretty excited!!!! KRIEG’s and I’s sound has started to come together and others seem to like our messed up style. Becoming part of the Black Hoe label has given me drive like never before. With real hard graft, I hope we can produce some great tracks. I would also love to start gigging out this year, playing Europe. Seeing others enjoying our sounds!! So I am going to kick the shit out of it this year and see where it takes us! We will also be introducing our new project as Misophonia soon.”
KRIEG: ”Well I really like how driven and motivated we both are for this year; we’re giving this year 200% and are not going to be stopped. We will have a release on Black Hoe Recordings and be working with a lot of different and interesting artists.”

What would you say inspired the Misophonia project?
SNYDE: ”I believe it was a brainchild of KRIEG’s. We are pretty much known as a duo and wanted to create a new entity with it. We are both psychologists and loved what Misophonia meant as it explains our style very well. So we thought, “Let’s do it!!!! A start of a new chapter for us.”
KRIEG: ”I am inspired by an array of things, more so often things that take you out your normal state, whether it is people, emotions, and or thoughts.”

What sort of plans does Misophonia have in stock for us this year?
SNYDE: ”Well we hope to debut Misophonia with an EP on Black Hoe later this year, something dark, nasty and a reflection of our diversity in our musical tastes. After this, who knows? I guess it all depends if the heads out there like what develops from our warped little minds”
KRIEG: ”delve into our own style; try to do something new and oh my god try to reinvent the wheel!!”
SNYDE: ”yes, we don’t want to be a carbon copy of anyone but wish to create something different”

Is there any other labels in which you have had releases on and or possible forthcoming releases on?
SNYDE: ”Yeah we have had releases on Infectech, Suspect Device, Techsys, Battle Audio, Section 8 and also many other labels as solo artists. There are many other labels we are in the talks with but nothing solid as yet. Apart from Infectech, Noisj, Battle Audio. Also as solo artists we have releases coming on Warrior Drum, Hormonal Vibrations, Nocid….to name a few. But I believe our main focus right now is Black Hoe Recordings.”
KRIEG: ”Yea right now we’re waiting on Infectech and as a solo artist I’m awaiting on the new label Warrior Drum along with my remix of ERRe+Hardlogik vs Syrinx - D.I.E which I did with Inerpois, this remix will be released through Noisj.”

Would you say that working with all these different labels motivates you all the more?
SNYDE: ”oh yes, when certain labels like your tunes enough to be part of their label it is the best compliment and driving force, it makes you think… “Maybe the shit I make isn’t actually that bad?” and it inspires you to improve.
Like I had previously said, being released on Black Hoe has been the greatest compliment so far, as I have been a fan of the label for a long time, it was like, wow, this feels good ha. KRIEG is also a big driving force as he does most of the leg work and contacts the labels etc”
KRIEG: ”It motivates me when someone says my track is bullshit, it then makes me want to destroy the world and show everyone wrong.”

Outside of the studio what is it that you enjoy doing with your free time?
SNYDE: ”Apart from the studio there isn’t much free time. We both have full time jobs so any spare time is taken up with music; mixing, producing, listening. Music is our free time. Oh and watching twisted horror movies and some playtime when I can. Everyone needs a good sweaty all-nighter now and again, and I am talking about raving.”
KRIEG: ”In my free time I like to think, and that is something I wish for everyone to do.”

That sounds like quite the busy lifestyle, but it just proves how determined the both of you really are. Do either of you have anyone or anything in mind you can thank when it comes to your success?
SNYDE: ”KRIEG!!!!!!! Along with the love of my life…..Drum &Bass, which I find the biggest inspiration and motivation there is along with all the people who listen to and enjoy our music.”
KRIEG: ”I’d like to thank SNYDE, my parents, and did I mention SNYDE?”

This next release on Black Hoe is a double feature that is split up into two parts. Its first chapter beautifully describes how the Russian crossbreed / neuro daredevil’s, Nagato's music career had begun. Chapter two is of the collaboration between two compatriots and music colleagues known as The Infernal Brothers. Three tracks that will not lose in battle as its rampage will persist; Battle City seamlessly maximizes 8-bit sounds while the neurotic knocking The Legacy rattles you around and finally the previously known Soldiers in TIB transcript.

Indidjinous - Degenerated (re-stock / double feature) (BHR009)

Indidjinous returns for his second Black Hoe release (also re-stock from Golden Age) with another infusion of tribal alien warfare. Taking things down a notch, the cavernous, wallowing bass lines of Degenerated cascade beneath delicate hi-hats and shattering percussion. This spooky, halftime creeper brings visions of a humid, primordial wilderness. A washed out, ghostly amen injects energy into an otherwise snare-less take on the ultra-minimal sound. It’s centerpiece is a teched-out, mid-range bass scrawl that occupies the space between beast and machine. Duborigine is a heavyweight halftime smasher complete with trademark didjeridu accents and haunting atmospherics. A dense, stuttering sub.descends to resonant frequencies, but despite the massive bass, it’s the drums that demand your full attention. Razor sharp halftime snare-crashes set the pace, interspersed here and there with cutting break edits. Duborigine projects a fierce vibe without being abrasive to the ears.

Indidjinous - Dead Ringer (re-stock / double feature) (BHR008)

The next release on Black Hoe is a re-stock again. This one has been released on Golden Age previously and broke with the sister label’s tradition: there are no soothing melodies, smooth structures or etheral atmoshepres. We’ve got two mutilated breakbeat freaks that hark back to the good old vibes of labels like Biotic or Audio Couture. Dead Ringer's sluggish and archaic half-time intro sequence quickly emerges from the muck and mutates into a rabid, amen-infused breakbeat beast. The high-energy, warping bassline will wreak havok on the dancefloor and test the strength of any subwoofer. Indidjinous' signature didjeridu atmospherics cascade around poppy breakbeats and shuffling, reversed hi-hats in the ominous Mating Call. Thundering 808 bass spars with an alternating alien bass synth. Haunting sci-fi vocal samples contribute to the other-worldly vibes of this breaked-out heavyweight.

Eschaton - They Come Out At Night (BHR007)

Just in time for Halloween, Black Hoe Recordings emits a haunting pair of tunes from Omni Music label bossEschatonMichael Myers Ate My Speakers With a Nice Chianti establishes the rapid pace and dark cinematic vibes that characterize this release. A rolling, skittering break spliced with distorted rhythmic percussion combines with evil whispering sound effects and deep sub-bass to round out this driving, high pulse cut. They Only Come Out at Night similarly employs deep bass and cryptic vocal samples. The presence of rhythmic blips and bleeps which actively spar with the prominent rolling break lend this track unique character.

Peter Kurten - The Time Of War (BHR006)

Over the years, Peter Kurten has been working hard to keep the darker, harsher side of drum’n’bass alive. His numerous undertakings include the Antichristus project with his brother Sinecore, his imprint Evil Beats and his signings on labels like IndependenzaUnionGenosha 175 and Freak to name a few. What are possibly Peter Kurten’s hardest and sickest visions appear on Black Hoe right now. Both tracks take place on battlefields to summons the spirit of a cruel and bloody war genocide. In 'The Time Of War' the opening bass distortion and the amenish sequence nicely outline the approaching onslaught. This track baffles the listener with its sweeping hardcore-techno kicks: total destruction! '13 Soldiers' starts with forbidding, screaming war horns and quickly devolves into a filthy, distorted bassline. A proliferation of kicks and furious snares turn this one into a grim combination of drum’n’bass, experimental and IDM.

Aggressor - Terms Of Abuse (BHR005)

The reemergence of Black Hoe Recordings is hailed by a sinister release from the aptly named Aggressor. It begins with Terms of Abuse Part 1, a dangerous halftime lurker with futuristic atmospherics reminiscent of a depleted industrial dystopia. Keenly crafted edits allow the bulletproof break at the center of this track to exude the strength of a thinly veiled arsenal. If aliens listened to gangsta rap, this is what the beat would sound like.Part 2 utilizes a similarly metallic, resonating drum kit made different by subtly fluttering kicks bordering a clanking halftime snare. A scrawling, distorted synth field buzzes in the periphery throughout giving this track a distinctive flavor.
